Clean. Candid. Timeless.

A little romance.
A lot of being yourselves.

The quiet moments, your favourite people and whatever happens when everyone relaxes. Natural colour and classic black and white, with room for the fun stuff too.

What are you planning?

Your day. Your kind of celebration.

A cottage wedding, a quiet ceremony by the lake or the question that starts it all. Let’s find the photography coverage that fits.

About Me

I’m Vaughn.

After more than 15 years and hundreds of weddings, I know that feeling comfortable makes a difference. I’ll guide you through portraits and family photos, then step back when the moment calls for it. You don’t need to arrive knowing what to do with your hands.

I’m married with two incredible girls—nothing scares me anymore. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me cheering on the Maple Leafs (condolences appreciated), enjoying hard-shell tacos or planning our next family trip.

“He captured us as we are. He made the day fun and relaxed.”

A little local knowledge

Somewhere you’ll love.
Someone who knows the area.

Based in Orillia, I photograph weddings across Muskoka, including Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville, as well as Barrie and Parry Sound. Waterfront cottages, forest settings and resorts all offer something different.

I’ve photographed celebrations at Sherwood Inn, Trillium Resort, Northbrook Farm, Severn Lodge and Muskoka Bay Resort. I can help you think through locations, light and a timeline that leaves room to enjoy the day.

Before we get started

A few things you might be wondering.

Something else on your mind?
Ask me →

We’re awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?

Absolutely. Most couples tell me this at first. I’ll give you simple direction when you need it and room to enjoy each other. You won’t be left wondering what to do, and the whole day won’t turn into a photo shoot.

Do you photograph larger weddings too?

Yes. Elopements and small weddings are my main focus, but I also photograph a select number of larger weddings. The approach stays the same: natural, candid photographs and a relaxed experience, whatever your guest count.

What’s the difference between an elopement and a micro-wedding?

There isn’t a universal guest-count rule. An elopement generally focuses on the couple, with few or no guests. A micro-wedding includes a small group of close family and friends. Tell me what you’re planning and we’ll work out the coverage that fits.

How many hours of photography do we need?

Two hours can work for a simple elopement with a ceremony and portraits. Four or five hours can allow for the ceremony, family photos, couple portraits and time with guests. Getting ready, travel between locations or dancing may call for more. Read what five hours of wedding photography can cover.

Can you help with locations and the timeline?

Yes. I can suggest locations and help plan around the light, family photographs and time with your guests. I’m not a wedding planner, but I’m happy to share what I’ve learned photographing weddings across Muskoka and Central Ontario.

Where can we see pricing, and how do we book?

Start with my photography pricing, then send me your date, location and a little about your plans. I’ll confirm availability and help you choose coverage. A signed contract and a 35% retainer secure your booking.

When will we receive our photographs?

My usual delivery time is one to two weeks, depending on my schedule. I’ll confirm the expected turnaround for your booking so you know what to expect.

Let’s hear what
you have in mind.

A date, a location if you have one, and a little about the two of you. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.
